How fees work
Insurance we work with
Weft is out of network with insurance plans, so you pay the practice directly and can ask your plan to reimburse you. Couples sessions are often not covered, and some plans pay only when a session addresses a diagnosis for one of you. Dr. Ellison does not bill Medicare or Medicaid. If you want a clinician who does, tell her and she will help you look.

If you pay yourself
You get the fee for a couples session in writing before you book. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are held each month; ask when you write. Dr. Ellison asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a session.

Receipts for reimbursement
Each month Dr. Ellison sends an itemized receipt, called a superbill, that you can send to your plan. It carries a diagnosis code for the client named on it, which your plan will see. Your plan decides whether it pays you back and how much.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you start, and Dr. Ellison gives you a written estimate in advance. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract. You can read more at cms.gov/nosurprises.
Checking your benefits
Before your first session Dr. Ellison will go through your plan's out-of-network benefits with you if you ask, and tell you what to ask your plan. She cannot promise what a plan will pay.
